During her tenure at WE tv, Kristyn was solely in charge of supervising all external messaging to WE tv fans, as well as developing the overall social strategies for digital and marketing initiatives. Her responsibilities included the promotion of all digital and social content, driving tune-in awareness for all marketing initiatives on WE tv’s 20+ social platforms, determining the overall social strategy for all digital and integrated marketing campaigns, as well as managing a team of freelance writers for the WE Tell All blog. Kristyn assisted in the management of paid promotion for all digital content and social initiatives, working with outside partners to implement. She also assisted in the rebrand and relaunch of wetv.com, and the management of site content and development.
In this position, Kristyn gained project manager experience, was kept abreast of all pop culture trends as they related to WE tv’s demographic and competitive set, and further developed her knowledge of the marketing and digital media space. She exceeded all social goals set by the network, and encouraged the implementation of new social networks and trends to further engage the WE tv viewer in social brand conversation and interaction.
Looking to gain agency experience, Kristyn became the Supervisor of Social Creative Strategy for Horizon Media’s client, Campbell’s Snacks. She oversaw all facets of Campbell’s Snacks brands’ social presence, including the creation of yearly strategies, development of persona and brand tones, supervising asset creation, and crafting social language. In this role, she implemented engagement tactics based on analysis and insight of the brands’ current social state and fan affinities, constantly evolving strategy based on findings, emerging social media platforms and new opportunities. Her responsibilities also included being the point of contact for all Campbell’s Snacks brands clients and partners.
Continuing to focus on gaining new experience in the industry, Kristyn became a social media and digital consultant for a variety of clients, focusing on home and lifestyle, emerging tech, and entertainment. While consulting was exciting and ever-changing, Kristyn craved more stability.
Currently, Kristyn is the Head of Social Media and Creative Strategy at Socialfly, a female-founded, female-focused agency where she’s the sole strategic lead overseeing client portfolios (CPG, Education/Higher Learning, Entertainment, Tech), leading the development of strategy inclusive of organic and paid social strategy and influencer management. She provides her clients with big picture thinking, with proactive and innovative strategies which over-deliver on client expectations and KPIs.
